A family comedy sequel that sees the return of super Buddy, the canine basketball-playing star.

Young Josh (Kevin Zegers) is upset that his widowed mom, Jackie (Cynthia Stevenson) is seeing a new man - the local vet Patrick (Gregory Harrison).

However, all this adult nonsense pales into insignificance when Josh gets the chance to play for his school's American football team.

And when the team's star quarterback is suddenly injured during an important match, up bounds Buddy and proves he's just as mean a mutt at touchdowns as he is jumping up at hoops.

The film - about overcoming tragedy and adjusting to change -- will have nippers barking with delight.
