Godfather Tops Oscar Poll
Marlon Brando's most famous role is the best Oscar winnerCinema advertisers Pearl and Dean have voted the Mafia classic The Godfather as the best Oscar winner of all time.
The extensive poll, which resulted in a list of 50 of their favourite Oscar winning films, put Gladiator starring Russell Crowe a close second.

The second Godfather movie also made it into the top three, and was followed closely by Jack Nicholson's One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which was made in 1975.
The film that made critics take Tom Cruise seriously - Rain Man - came in 5th, and the classic musical The Sound Of Music was number 6.
Shakespeare In Love; Chariots Of Fire and The Silence Of The Lambs all brought up the rear of the top ten, and Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List was placed in the tenth position.
