Eric Roberts

Born: April 18 1956
Where: Biloxi, Mississippi, USA

Known primarily nowadays for his villainous roles, Roberts is an actor with an impressively wide range.

He is probably best known for his role in The Runaway Train, which garnered him both Academy Award and Golden Globe supporting rol

In 1981 Roberts was so seriously injured in a car accident that he spent three days in a coma.

Other notable appearances include Star 80 and King of the Gypsies, for which he received Golden Globe nominations.

He can also be seen in Ben Stiller's Cable Guy, The Specialist opposite Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone and Final Analysis with Kim Basinger.

He is a regular on the American sitcom Less Than Perfect and his small screen roles also include Law & Order and King of Queens.

Recent appearances include the bad guy in National Security, Sex and Violence and Spun opposite Jason Schwartzman and Mena Suvari.
