Lara Flynn Boyle
Born: 24 March 1970
Where: Davenport, Iowa, USA
Lara Flynn Boyle was raised in the Chicago area by her mother following her parents' divorce.
While still young, she was diagnosed with a learning disability and enrolled at the Piven Theatre improvisational workshop as a means to develop ways of expressing herself.
Lara heeded her mothers' wishes and finished high school before embarking on her film career, which took off in 1988 with her debut Poltergeist III.
After a turn as Charlie Sheen's girlfriend in The Rookie two years later, David Lynch then cast her as the wholesome girl-next-door (who harboured a naughty side) in Twin Peaks.
A massive hit, the cult TV drama brought Lara to the attention of a lot of people and her career blossomed with a handful of good roles including her turn as the voracious, former girlfriend of Mike Myers in Wayne's World.
While receiving consistently good reviews for her film and television work, it wasn't until 1997 with her role in the television series The Practice that Boyle started to become a household name.
Ultimately, this lead to a part in her first blockbuster, Men In Black II, where she replaced Famke Janssen in the 2002 sequel.
