Don't see this if you're scared of spiders!

Though its disadvantage as a chiller is that it's nothing but spiders, this is a still tense and exciting movie, especially at the end, when chief arachnophobe Jeff Daniels has to tackle the lethal creatures in their lair.

The film is dully scripted and directed with too much jittery camera movement but good performances, especially from Daniels and from Harley Jane Kozak as his wife, fire up the suspense.

John Goodman pops in enjoyably towards the end as a pest exterminator (with Bug-B-Ware on his cap) determined to blast his quarry off the face of the earth.
