Breckin Meyer
Born: 7th May 1974
Where: Minneapolis, Minnesota
The musician and actor first attracted attention opposite Alicia Silverstone in the teen comedy Clueless.
Subsequent appearances include gross-out comedy Road Trip, rom-com Kate & Leopold and kid's caper Garfield.
However, he also picked up a Razzle Award for worst actor for Robert Benigni's Pinnochio.
He began his acting career when he was encouraged to audition for an agent when he was 11 (the same year Drew Barrymore claims he gave her her first kiss when she was 10).
TV adverts and voice-over work quickly followed and he branched out into playing roles in guest appearances on TV sitcoms beginning with The Wonder Years in 1988.
Breckin was the drummer in the Streetwalking Cheetahs, with his brother Frank, which recorded a demo in 1995.
He then started his own band, Bellyroom, with Seth Green and Alex Martin and gigged around LA in 1996.
In 1989, Breckin had a recurring role as the nephew of Lynn Redgrave on the short-lived US sitcom Chicken Soup.
A few years later, he also had a recurring role on The Jackie Thomas Show and a regular role as the wannabe rock musician son on the Home Court.
His movie debut came in 1991 with Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, in which he was memorably dispatched in a video game.
However, his breakthrough screen role came in 1995, opposite Alicia Silverstone (a schoolmate at Beverly Hills High School) in Clueless.
He later formed a production company, Sweet J Productions with Seth Green and Ryan Phillippe.
Subsequent appearances included the chiller The Craft and the part of a surfer in John Carpenter's Escape from LA.
In 1999, he starred in the conspiracy thriller The Insider and played Josh Parker in Road Trip alongside Sean William Scott.
He joined an all-star cast including John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson and Whoopi Goldberg for Rat Race in 2001 and appeared in Kate & Leopold the same year.
The following year he voiced Pinnochio in Robert Benigni's dire adaptation of the children's fable.
Recent work includes the live action cat caper Garfield with Jennifer Love Hewitt.
