Multi-segment movies by a host of famous directors are invariably disasters (though goodness knows why) and this conglomeration of mainly erotic episodes to background music from notable operas is certainly no exception. Plenty of well-known actors to spot, though, clothed and (mostly) unclothed, for those who persist in in seeing this through to the end, including John Hurt, Bridget Fonda, Theresa Russell (as King Zog of Albania! ). Elizabeth Hurley and Beverly D'Angelo. Julien Temple's episode is a bit better than the rest, while Ken Russell's, about a nubile accident victim, is at least typically outrageous.
