The title of this film is self-explanatory. Participating in the account of the Pilgrims' voyage to the New World are Anthony Hopkins as the Captain of the Mayflower, Richard Crenna as the minister who books a passage for his flock on that ship and the smaller Speedwell, and David Dukes as the captain who is hired to protect them from Indians. Jenny Agutter and Michael Beck play two young people who spark off a romance.
