An efficient Disney remake of their own 1969 comedy hit, with Kirk Cameron in the old Kurt Russell role of college student Dexter Riley, who becomes an instant genius when the whole of the Internet database is accidentally downloaded into his brain. There's not enough of Disney veteran Dean Jones, as the dean of the rival team in the 'College Knowledge' quiz final who tries to either snaffle Dexter or scupper his chances. But beamingly bemused Larry Miller is the comic hit of this show as the decidedly addled principal of Dexter's own college. Special effects are fine and, although the film sags in the middle, it comes good again at the end.
