Joseph Wambaugh adapts one of his own hard-boiled crime novels for the small screen in this fun-to-watch telefilm about a lady private eye, very personably played by Teri Garr, who teams with drink-sodden cop Sam Elliott to track down a long-elusive man on the run. Entertaining stuff, vaguely in Hart to Hart-style territory - the pools, golf courses and lush estates of the very rich - but with more interesting central characters.
