A movie spin-off from the popular Disney cartoon series on TV, this adventure cartoon in the style of Indiana Jones has all the ingredients to delight kids and amuse the adults as well. A well-made piece, it's snappily scripted (once it gets into its stride) along familiar lines, richly coloured and very pleasing to look at. Some of the action adventure sequences are positively dazzling, and the voicing is uniformly good: Alan Young is Uncle Scrooge McDuck, all four youngsters are voiced by Russi Taylor, while Rip Taylor is excellent as the genie of the lamp. And you may recognise the voice of the villainous Merlock - it's that of Christopher Lloyd, who played Fester in the Addams Family films.
