In a comedy that sags in all parts, Tommy Callahan III (Chris Farley) is a slow-witted guy who inherits the failing auto parts company of his father (Brian Dennehy), when Pop cops it from a stroke.

His stepmother (Bo Derek) and her son (Rob Lowe) wanted to put Dad out of business, but Tommy is determined to keep the family flag flying. He sets off on the road with his father's right-hand man (David Spade) to flog brake pads to the masses.

Unfortunately, you should let no amount of flogging sell you this slackly handled fare.

Spade and Farley did win an MTV award for best comedy duo of the year, but Derek was nominated for worst supporting actress at the Golden Raspberries.
