The plot may be implausible, but hey, this is Hollywood. Mel Gibson stars in this, at times, exciting thriller as a cold millionaire whose son is kidnapped from under his nose by cop/kidnapper Gary Sinise and his gang who demand $2million for his return. Gibson decides to pay up, but during the drop the FBI chooses to challenge the villain's henchmen and it all goes messily wrong. So Gibson decides to turn the tables on the kidnappers and, believing that he will never see his son again, refuses to pay, and puts the money on the kidnapper's head instead. Gibson, Rene Russo (as his wife) and Sinise give it their best shots and create a few telling moments.
