Not content with singing, he also went on to write and produce while working with bands such as Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
After Ransom he had minor roles in Julien Temple' Bullet, horror yarn The Black Circle Boys and alongside David Caruso in the thriller Body Count.
He starred in the drama Southie and portrayed Billy The Kid in the TV movies Purgatory before his profile was raised as Vincent Gray in The Sixth Sense.
Subsequent appearances included Dan Cohen's Diamond Men and the critically-acclaimed TV series Band of Brothers.
In 2002, he starred in Triggermen alongside Neil Morrissey and followed that with Lawrence Kasdan's adaptation of Stephen King's Dreamcatcher.
Recent work saw him playing a jaded cop in the efficient horror sequel Saw 2.
