Someone should perhaps have told director Harvey Miller that a man murdering his neighbour because he thinks he's a Nazi war criminal, then finding he's made a mistake, wasn't a terribly good idea for a comedy. Jack Lemmon does a bad German accent, Dan Aykroyd looks bewildered and Lily Tomlin looks as she wishes she were in another film. Embarrassingly distasteful, accompanied by inappropriately bouncy music. Only Bonnie Hunt, as Aykroyd's girlfriend, emerges with any credit.
