Naff and a bit amateurish, unlike the girls' stage act, this is not bad as a vehicle for a pop group, although slightly less relaxed than these things used to be in the Sixties. Plot? There isn't one, as such. The girls have to reach the Albert Hall for a concert, and nurse their friend through having a baby at the same time. They do. The famous five (then still with Ginger Spice) prove just about passable as actresses and, although real humour is in short supply, the Victoria character, obsessed with clothes, make-up and keeping her poise, has some amusing moments. On stage, though, the Spices are a sight more entertaining, with precision timing on some rhythmic and toe-tapping numbers.
