Disappointingly this is not your typical violent car-chase shoot-'em-up that Peter Fonda was regularly making during the Seventies, such as Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry and Killer Force. This is a quieter, nastier type of film about conservationists versus big business polluters and a corrupt legal system. Small time farmer Tom Hunter (Fonda) returns to his family ranch, only to find it under pressure from a ruthless mining corporation. The story that follows flits between court room showdowns and studying the effects of the corporation's bully tactics on the families affected. Fonda, of course, has had enough by the end and takes the law into his own hands which at least makes for a predictably explosive climax.
