Rudyard Kipling's famous novel The Jungle Book is presented here in Russian cartoon form (re-edited from a 1968 film) with Charlton Heston as the voice of the narrator. Baby Mowgli is adopted by wolves in the jungle and lives his life among the animals, some friendly like Bagheera, the wise panther, and Baloo the bear, some treacherous like sneaky snake Kaa or the prowling tiger Shere Khan who can never quite lay his paws on the human child. With the assistance of his animal friends, Mowgli learns to look out for himself in his new environment - much as he did in the superior Disney classic.
