Brennick is still on the run from the Men-Tel Corporation for the crime of 'breeding' - fathering an unauthorised child.
Together with his wife Karen (Toussaint) and son Danny (Rea), Brennick tries to stay one step ahead of the law.
However he is eventually recaptured and incarcerated in a futuristic state-of-the-art maximum security prison which orbits 26,000 miles from Earth.
The prison houses the planet's most fierce criminals, forcing them to perform dreaded space labour amidst meteor showers and other harsh elements.
Here, Brennick is locked down by hi-tech security prison cells and surrounded by an elaborate system of computer surveillance devices, including a camera placed inside his body.
If Brennick ever wants to be reunited with his wife and son, he has no hope but to try to escape - an idea that was never thought possible... until now.
With some impressive special effects and great action sequences, this film is a must for sci-fi fans and those who enjoyed the original.
