Trekkies

Hilarious documentary lifting the lid on the obsessive fans of the long-running TV sci-fi series. There’s Barbara Adams, the Whitewater juror who attended court in her Star Trek uniform, and a Star Trek transvestite who dresses as the self-imagined wife of a minor character from an old episode. The trekkies may be slightly odd but they are never mocked in director Royer Nyard's warm and affectionate film.

Trekkies Admit it, everyone likes to have a laugh at hardcore Trekkies - even Star Trek fans - so this raw documentary is both funny and, yes, educational. Some of the series' most obsessive followers are dug out at conventions, clubs and in their own homes. Fascinating viewing.

Never tire of watching this - it's truly fascinating!! From the woman obsessed with Data actor Brent Spiner to The Commander, it's compelling viewing. Great stuff. Definitely one for Louis Theroux fans.
