This now little-known Fritz Lang film, about a man who almost kills Hitler, contains some of the most exciting chase sequences then made. After years of minor films at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Walter Pidgeon was loaned to Twentieth Century-Fox for two pictures, this and 'How Green Was My Valley'. He returned to MGM a star. Another powerful performance is given by John Carradine, in frightening form as the man who hunts Pidgeon down. Excellent suspense, tension on high throughout.
