Alfred Hitchcock's most famous chase thriller sees Cary Grant mistaken for a spy and hounded by the cops and oily James Mason. The film unfolds in a series of brilliant sequences, notably the attack on Grant by a crop-duster plane in the middle of a vast prairie and the cliffhanging climax at Mount Rushmore. Grant, Mason, Eva Marie Saint as the cool blonde and Martin Landau, as a lean, mean villain are all outstanding. Still one of the best films of all time. Grant was paid a hefty $450,000 plus profits and got an extra $315,000 for overtime, yet he charged fans 15 cents for autographs on location at Mount Rushmore!
