Gloria Swanson came over from Hollywood to produce and star with Laurence Olivier in this British film which is so rare as almost to qualify as a lost movie. Among the wealth of talent involved in its making were two figures who were soon to emerge as great British directors: Michael Powell, who wrote the script, and Thorold Dickinson, who edited the film.
