An occult type of fantasy story, this stars Karen Black as a housewife who changes her appearance and lifestyle and takes on the personality of a girl who has been dead for five years. The film was made from a script by that accomplished purveyor of fantasy stories, Richard Matheson (who was also associate producer), and the film was directed by Gordon Hessler, who in his cinema work has shown himself adept at horror in such movies as Cry of the Banshee, Murders in the Rue Morgue and Scream and Scream Again.
