This generation-gap comedy is cheerfully recommended to all fans of James Stewart. Whether fuming over the courting of his blossoming daughters, or accidentally getting arrested at a students' sit-in, Stewart's deceptively funny performance gives the shenanigans a lift they barely deserve. Stewart himself deserves much better, and would mercifully receive it with his next films, Cheyenne Autumn and, especially, Shenandoah. In the featured cast, Charla Docherty's fresh approach outshines the limited talent of Sandra Dee as her sister.
