Producer Ross Hunter's luxurious world of make-believe receives another comic twist in this story of housewife Beverly Boyer (Doris Day) who becomes a national celebrity through selling soap on TV. All this upsets her husband (James Garner) not a little, especially when he becomes known as 'Mr Beverly' and finds himself driving into the swimming pool the TV sponsors have made out of his wife's garage. Day, as genuinely nice as ever, and Garner make a perfect team together in this pleasant entertainment with a good few laughs.
