The Green Berets

John Wayne's pro-America-in-Vietnam film is a fair piece of entertainment if you ignore the flag-waving and concentrate on it purely as an escapist war movie, with Wayne as a gung-ho colonel. David Janssen (The Fugitive) is along for the ride as a cynical reporter while George (Star Trek) Takei is a South Vietnamese officer who blows up his own men. Wayne also has a hand in the direction and his son Patrick has a featured role.
