An apprentice work from director Martin Scorsese, made while he was still at New York University's Film School, and re-released after he had hit the big time. He was just 25 when he made this story of an Italian-American youth (Harvey Keitel in his first film) who meets a girl who will cause him to call into question his whole way of life.
