A courageous film to come out of a Communist country. It is the story of a young composer who becomes an acclaimed public figure-although he hasn't composed anything-simply through the influence of his benefactors. The film is a shade too long, but its message is beautifully put across: Cynicism and opportunism run riot in Yugoslavia as in most other countries.
