An elderly professor and his bumbling assistant come to Transylvania to rid the land of the curse of the vampires in Roman Polanski's ghoulish and amusing vampire spoof starring Sharon Tate, Polanski himself and Jack MacGowran. Alfie Bass gives a great turn as a Jewish neck-nibbler who advances on a cross-wielding victim, crying gleefully 'Boy, have you got the wrong vampire! ' (DQ/IR)
