Cary Grant and Myrna Loy delight, and HC Potter directs with immense good humour, in this lovable tale of two city people who have a house built in the country to their own special and somewhat extravagant specifications, and get taken for a ride by every country trickster in sight. The plot was re-worked nearly 40 years later for Tom Hanks and Shelley Long as The Money Pit, but this is funnier, full of such wonderful lines as 'You've been taken to the cleaners and you don't even know your pants are off' (DQ)
