This moderate Western cruises along happily enough on the acting power of Maureen O'Hara as the good-hearted, red-headed saloon owner and William Bishop as the villain of the piece. He gets her locked up on trumped-up charges of cattle rustling after she tries to stop the ranch war he's arranged to promote his political ambitions. Sadly, the film badly needs a sturdy hero and Alex Nicol is out of his depth as the sheriff who eventually catches on to O'Hara's honesty and charms.
