One of the most successful of MGM's Esther Williams aqua-musicals, with a handful of Frank Loesser songs spearheaded by the Oscar-winning Baby It's Cold Outside, sung not only by Miss Williams and Ricardo Montalban, but also by Betty Garrett and Red Skelton, who stole the show with some amiable and enthusiastic fooling in their mistaken-identity romance. Director Edward Buzzell made sure that the production was full of Technicolor slickness and Xavier Cugat rhythm, plus the obligatory Williams water ballet.
