Barry Champlain is a 'shock jock' - a master of talk-insult on air whom most people hate but find compulsive. An expert on the callous put-down and the cut-off button alike, he lets callers vent their spleen and then flushes them down the radio waves and out of his system. Although Oliver Stone's movie's talky, moments to admire in the script come thick and fast, making it often compulsive stuff and Eric Bogosia is marvellous in the star role. ( DQ/DW)
