The all-star treatment of the famous period of conflict which turned the tide of World War Two in 1940 comes spectacularly alive in the skies, although it does suffer from a weak script. Laurence Olivier, Ralph Richardson, Curt Jurgens and Michael Caine head a formidable cast in this true story of how, on the brink of defeat and imminent invasion, the plucky British airforce (and many of its European allies) embarked on the famous Battle of Britain giving the German Luftwaffe a mighty slap sending them back to occupied France to think again.
