One of Sean Connery's best films as James Bond. This is a sparkling action adventure, with 007 on the trail of smuggled diamonds which, naturally, leads to him uncovering a world-threatening conspiracy plotted by his arch nemesis, Blofeld (Charles Gray). There's plenty of humour in the script, plus endless well-staged action sequences. Jill St John proves both sexy and endearingly goofy as the heroine and Lana Wood, sister of Natalie, appears briefly in a casino scene. But it's Bamby and Thumper who prove to be Bond's most interesting squeezes!
