This was the first of Ian Fleming's books to be adapted for the big screen. It's a little dated now with bad back-projections and antiquated weaponry but is still an enjoyable adventure.

Sean Connery is agile, handsome and sardonic as James Bond, while his leading lady Ursula Andress is still one of the most delectable Bond girls on record. The action just about moves swiftly enough to cover the holes in the plot, and the humour is lower key than the later films as Bond travels to Jamaica to investigate the death of a fellow agent. Once there, a deadly trail leads 007 to an offshore island policed by a fire-breathing dragon and owned by the mysterious Doctor No.
