One of Peter Ustinov's rare forays as a film director, in a bizarre story about an escaped madman who improbably becomes an all-powerful magnate. The script's shafts of wit are at their sharpest during the scenes in the asylum itself, while the supporting cast includes Ustinov himself, John Schuck, Leon Ames and that former gangster movie star George Raft.
