Directed by Don Taylor, this engrossing and appealing television film was much applauded when it was first shown in the United States. Jane Alexander stars as a disillusioned wealthy woman who turns to volunteer work at a school for emotionally disturbed children. A fine performance too comes from Rachel Roberts as the school's regular teacher, a woman who is brilliant with children but sceptical of the worth of volunteers. The relationship between the two women is a pivotal point of the story. Altogether, an impressive and moving film.
