'Ah, kidneys. Delicious.' It must be Baron Frankenstein, and it is. The country is recognisably Hammer-land. The Baron (Peter Cushing), has secreted a new creature in the depths of the asylum at which he is resident doctor. Alas, the monster (David Prowse, later Darth Vader in Star Wars) takes a turn for the nurse (Madeline Smith) which proves his undoing. The quality of Terence Fisher's direction slows the Hammer decline in this one, but the script is a touch too tongue-in-cheek, and the playing matches it.
