Don't Jinx It Charlize!
Oscar-winner Charlize Theron is in negotiations to star in Jinx, an adaptation of a Brian Michael Bendis comic book for Universal Pictures. After proving herself more than able to come up with the goods playing serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster, the role in Jinx will have her dabbling on the wrong side of the law again (tut, tut).
Jinx is the story of a bounty hunter who teams up with a wanted criminal to find millions of dollars of abandoned mob money in order to start a new life together.
Bendis, who spent two and a half years writing and illustrating the comic said:
"This is not the traditional comic book movie, which tends to be more about concept.
"This is a crime novel that is illustrated so you're more interested in the voice of it. "Universal understood that and has thankfully given me a fantastic opportunity bring the character of Jinx to the big screen."
Several of Bendis' independent comics are being developed as feature films and as a five times winner of the Eisner, the comic world's equivalent of the Oscar, he'll be more than able to exchange acceptance speech notes with Charlize (without sobbing).
