The Cambridge graduate landed her breakout performance as surivor Selena in Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later.
As a child actor she landed the most promising actress award while studying at the Anna Scher Theatre School and also appeared in ITV's Simon and the Witch.
She went on to study political science at Cambridge University before attending Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
TV work included The Tomorrow People and Runaway bay before she made her feature debut in 2002's Living In Hope.
She played Clara in TV's White Teeth and was then cast by Boyle in 28 Days Later alongside Cillian Murphy.
Recent work includes the lacklustre British psychological thriller Trauma with Colin Firth and the action thriller After The Sunset with Pierce Brosnan.
