The decade under discussion is the Seventies, and this documentary charts the events that shaped the American films of that era. A host of directors of the time, such as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and Paul Mazursky - plus actors including Julie Christie, Ellen Burstyn and Roy Scheider - are interviewed, discussing the importance of the films in which they were involved. And, of course, there are some nostalgic film clips to illustrate their anecdotes. Playing like a love letter to the Seventies, this is fascinating stuff indeed.
