Talancon's breakthrough peformance was as the teenager tempted by a young priest in The Crime of Father Amaro.

After studying acting in Cancun under Cuban professor Albio Paz she moved to Mexico City where she was cast in soaps including Al Norte Del Corazon.

She made her big screen debut in El Cometa by Marisa Sistach in 1998, playing the character of Valentina.

Following that part - for which she was nominated for an Ariel Award for Best Actress - she was cast in The Crime of Father Amaro.
