Beau Bridges is a fine actor, but we wonder what he is doing in this suspenseless haunted house mystery, supposedly based on a true story.

He plays Derek, the sceptical producer of a reality TV show that covers paranormal goings-on. When his team (including researcher Nia Long and psychic Miguel Ferrer) are called in by a sweet young couple from a Kansas backwater town to help them with their haunting, he remains cynical, although it is pretty obvious to us viewers that ghosts are present.

The mystery builds slowly, with a naff ghost's-eye view of events that adds nothing to the atmosphere. Unspooky, and uninspiring.
