Back in Business
Aristocratic scammer Will Spencer (Martin Kemp) and his partner-in-crime Tom Marks (Chris Barrie) cook up a caper to fleece the Russian and Chinese governments. They plan to sell them a state-of-the-art British space exploration vehicle - the trick is that they don't actually own it. Dennis Waterman plays an incompetent detective while the rest of the cast is drawn from the ranks of The Bill and Hollyoaks.
I think Tim Evans' review is very unfair, and quite frankly I was disgusted by it. How on earth do people expect the British film industry to grow when there is so little support? I watched Back in Business with my two children, and it was a decent film. Ok so the acting wasn't great, but overall it was a enjoyable film. My kids loved it. How it deserved the review that Tim Evans gave it I dont know. He must be a bitter producer that could never get his rubbish films to cinema.
Mike Dawson
Sorry - I agree with Mr Evans. This film is utterly dreadful. Badly written, badly made (he's right about the boom). And lets face it - if you've invested in this film and the company treats you nicely it's got nothing to do with how good the film is - you're more likely to be biased. Most of us just pay to watch movies (rather than pay for them) and this would have been best avoided on both counts.
