Walk the Line
With romance in its veins, a swagger in its step and a pair of career-best performances at its heart, Walk The Line is a mighty fine screen biography of country music legend Johnny Cash. As the 'Man In Black', Joaquin Phoenix strikes a perfect chord with Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon who plays Johnny's lifelong love, June Carter. Even more remarkably, those are their vocals on the soundtrack – no lip-synching here, y'all.
Totally brilliant. This is one of the best biopics ever made. Joaquin Phoenix is great as Cash and Reese Witherspoon is fantastic as Carter. If you only ever watch one bio-film, this is the one to watch.

Remarkable biopic of a remarkable entertainer. Not long enough or detailed enough for the true fan of Mr Cash but still very entertaining. GREAT performance from Joaquim Phoenix.

An unexpected favourite. Joaquin Phoenix's blend of rough and smooth Cash was enough to send most women's hearts a flutterin'. Mix that with Reese Witherspoon's cute and charismatic June Brown and you have yourself with one heck of a cast! This film had the looks, the personality, the electricity and the sounds that made it, one of the best films to grace the cinema in some time. Walk the Line really does do the great man justice.

Fantastic. Appeals to every generation. Phoenix and Witherspoon have a very believable chemistry and the singing is top notch especially in Pheonix's case. Both worthy of an Oscar. Truly enjoyable. A must see!
