Hot Fuzz

The team behind cult hit Shaun of the Dead return in a gun-toting buddy cop thriller set in deepest Somerset. Simon Pegg plays an over-performing Metropolitan Police officer who is despatched to the dozy town of Sandford when his efficiency rate makes the rest of the force look plodding. It all looks peaceful on the surface…until a string of gruesome murders suggest something is not quite right. Drafting in a superlative array of British acting talent - Timothy Dalton, Jim Broadbent - and homegrown comedy's finest - Bill Bailey, Steve Coogan - this is a funny-bone shattering cross between Heartbeat and Bad Boys II.

Well being a cop myself I enjoyed this film. There was a bit of everything for everyone in this one, sarcasm, action, stupidness and general funiness.

This is hilarious. The first film that I can remember that made me cry with laughter. It has so much Police "truth" in it that everyone in the job will love it.

As a huge fan of Shaun of the Dead, Spaced and Black Books I expected this film to have more of the same sharp and witty humour as it's "predecessors". I was wrong. Still an enjoyable film with funny moments at times, it doesn't however live up to Simon Pegg/Nick Frost's earlier work. Still a must see for the fans.

Honestly I had no idea what to expect from this film beforehand. My mates were going so I thought "Might as well". I ended up exiting the cinema with a huge grin! I thought it was an amazing British comedy. It made me laugh so much, and even made me jump and tremble in my seat. The story was really stupid which was the beauty of the film, conducting a twist leaving everyone thinking "you what..."

Easily the funniest film I have ever paid cash to watch. Pegg and Frost are on form and the gore was a plenty. Innuendo and slickness put together in 120 minutes and side splitting action. What will they parody next!
