It's slow to get going but it isn't long before the action starts. What a gripping film - it has to be up amongst the best I have seen: a no-holds barred view of Greek civalization as it was.

Simply awesome! Gerard Butler is super hot! A totally kick ass movie from the start and one of the best I've seen in a long time. Credit to Frank Miller- Sin City was also amazing.

FORGET THE STORY AND JUST SWIM IN THE IMAGERY, SOUNDTRACK AND -FROM A FEMALE POINT OF VIEW- THE GORGEOUS MEN! GERARD BUTLER IS A PERSONAL FAVOURITE AND IS BRILLIANT. ALL THE OTHERS ARE GREAT, AND PERFECT FOR THEIR PARTS. THE IMAGES TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY!

Can I put no stars? I want my money back. I want this film erased from my memory. It is utter rubbish. Visually stunning I admit, but that lasts all of ten minutes. No characterisation whatsoever, the same thing over and over, just brawny men fighting. I was bored to tears. I wanted to inflict pain on myself just for something to do, and to stop myself lapsing into a coma. Then a coma felt like it would be a sweet release. I cannot believe so many people are raving about this garbage.

Personally, i thought this film was fantastic. Not only was the visual of the entire film amazing but the director had got everything spot on. The fight scenes are what made this film, the slow motion then the speeding up of the set pieces were fantastic as well. However, if you expect a full blwon story along with this movie you might be left a little empty as it doesn't span over a huge plot. Though there is a story and a love tie in there to give it edge. CGI has just taken its next step.

Braveheart meets the Chippendales in the campest historical epic since Carry On Cleo. Fun, but a neglected plot. Filled with cool combat scenes and a goth-comic look, giving it all the depth of an extended Korn video. It's also probably the only film where the guys have bigger breasts than the girls.

Absolutely amazing, my jaw dropped at every scene, everything was brilliantly constructed. This could be a revolution to future movies.
