Martin Freeman is the man charged with the duty of playing the last man alive in the adaptation of the classic TV and radio series.
Freeman is Arthur Dent, a seemingly average human who inadvertently finds himself the sole survivor of the human race when an alien construction crew blow-up planet Earth for the sake of a new intergalactic by-pass.
For us Brits, it seems a tad bizarre to hear such Hollywoody names as Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich linked with the cult classic, but the cast is undeniably impressive.
Alan Rickman, Richard Griffiths and Bill Nighy lead a large British contingent, while Mos Def is playing Arthur Dent's good alien friend, Ford Prefect.
